I watched 'A Scandal in Belgravia' the other week and this is still nagging at me.

Sherlock's reading a paper in one scene, with the headline 'Refit for Historical Hospital'. He's holding it up for a good part of the scene, with the headline clearly visible throughout, (just about) in focus whenever it's in shot.

It feels as if it's deliberately being kept in shot but it's not referenced in the episode at all.

Pet theory! - This is the 'hidden' clue that Steven Moffat says no-one has noticed yet. The set and props on the show are so intricately thought out and cleverly put together, it's hard to think there's not a reason for the headline being there. 'Sherlock' loves putting little visual clues in episodes too - the most immediate one that comes to mind is the Vermeer exhibition being advertised early on in 'The Great Game'.

I have absolutely no idea how or why this would be relevant. The placing of the morgue? Secret trap door? Handy scaffolding? Builders with a penchant for bungee jumping? High-vis parachutes? I'm just posting this so that in the unlikely event that there's something in it I can be insufferably, insufferably smug.

(It could, of course, just be 1895-blog-visitors-type foreshadowing.)

Also, simply because I love this moment, I bring you:

Rupert Graves' face is absolutely priceless. Lestrade, alcohol and the sexual-harassment suit waiting to happen.

How *very* dare you!

The more I think about it, the more it could just be foreshadowing. Reichenbach's such an iconic part of the canon that I can see they're just as likely to do that as well.

As far as theories go, the placement of the morgue is the best I can think of for now - maybe it's been moved so it's adjacent to A&E or to the level below? From memory, isn't Sherlock also wheeled into the hospital through a door which is yards from where he fell?

Thinking too much about this.

Ooh! Must go listen to your RPM challenge entry.

I'll be keeping an eye out now for anything related to that paper.

A quick google shows a lot of fans think it's significant.

Me, I was still wondering if Moriarty was the evil missing 3rd Jedward twin.

Don't be surprised by how crap my RPM album is. THe more I listen, the more I want to change.

Despite the fact that millions of people watch this show, I didn't actually think of googling it. *facepalm*

Ah, well, any excuse for Sherlock caps.

RPM entry not at all crap! Will reply in full this week.
